San Tan Ballroom Exhibit
In a recent exhibit at the San Tan Ballroom, SLAC displayed a number of models
depicting a B-747 commercial plane, one from general aviation and a number of
World War II aircraft.
The purpose was to symbolize the Sun Lakes Aero Club’s dedication to serve
those who may fit a wide range of interest in the general field of aviation,
whether non-pilots or highly professional pilots.
There have been several new members who joined SLAC as a result of this
exhibit.

The
October 17th monthly meeting featured speaker was Tom Malthaner,
Secretary of SLAC
For details of his presentation, click on Tom
Malthaner.
· Speaker for November 21st:
Lt Col Edward H. (Ned) Linch III will speak to us about his experiences during a tour of duty in Iraq. This may be very timely considering Congress’s vacillation on continuing the struggle in Iraq. You may recall that Col Linch spoke to us at the May 16th meeting. He covered “See and Avoid” which was very interesting and timely.
For a biography of Col Linch, click on: Linch Bio Sept, 2007 It’s very impressive.
Also: Col Linch sent us a copy of the “Torch” for July/August, 2004 titled Risking it all

Cunningham was based on the Midway and has offered to guide our group. He said he probably knows more than they
tell you on the tap
