Business Agenda Discussed

             a.          The Field Trip to Honeywell will The Field Trip to Honeywell will require the collection of personal information                                  required by Honeywell for security purposes.  Personal information was provided
by Board members who plan to participate in the Field Trip.

             b.          A Fly-In to Flagstaff is tentatively planned for January 8th or 9th that will include a                               luncheon and a visit to the Lowell Observatory.  The tours of the observatory                                    begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.  The ETA back at Chandler will be prior to sunset.

             c.          The March activity might be a Fly-In to Albuquerque to visit the Nuclear Museum                               at Kirkland AFB and the Eclipse-500 small jet facility which is on the same                                        airport.

             d.          The April activity is tentatively a Fly-In to Edwards AFB.  The destination airport,                                Willy J. Fox (WJF), will be used to stage the arrival.  The local area activity may                               include visiting the Edwards Space Museum and Joshua Approach Control                                      (Edwards RAPCON) and/or theSR-71 Museum in Palmdale and the Los Angeles
Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC).  These sites will likely be separated
into two separate visits to the Antelope Valley.

             e.          Another consideration is a Fly-In to Nogales, AZ to visit the U. S. Immigration and                Customs operations.  There is a considerable amount of flight activity associated                            with the southern border of Arizona.  More homework is needed to firm up this                                  outing.

Members are encouraged to submit ideas for a Fly-In or Ground Visitation activity to Dick Vaughn.

Sam recognized Vern who asked Jim Boone (who offered to secure a speaker) to attempt to schedule the speaker for the January meeting.  Vern continued by reporting that the SLAC web site is receiving a high level of use. The number of requests to the SLAC site averages 1,795 per month.  The web site has been in operation since November, 2002.

Sam concluded the meeting by announcing that the next Board meeting will include a work shop to identify and clarify which club officer is responsible to be the care taker for the various items of inventory and various club records.

Sam closed the meeting at 10:35 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Robert D. Earl, Secretary                                                                              December 17, 2003
