Old Business:
Al Galvi reviewed with us his previous proposal
and discussion recommending a raffle for Fly-Ins. The intention would be additional benefit to pilots in the shared
costs of Fly-Ins. After discussion, it
was agreed to table this until the next meeting when more of the Board members
would be in attendance.
Vern
reported that the Balance in the Treasury is $852.67; a $25.00 donation was
issued to Willie Flight 82 of the Daedalians in memory of Ray Schrecengost, Lt
Col USAF (Ret), who passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2006.
Website
Report: Vern
Nelson, Web Manager.
The
annual fee for the SLAC Website will be due in April 2007. The fee last year was $60.00. It was agreed to renew the next contract
when due whatever the price will be providing it is reasonable. Vern presented website statistics that he
issues the update reports to: Members: 61 (1 member has asked not to send
further updates); Former Members: 26; Potential Members: 2; Others: 17; Total:
106. Vern asked if we should contact
former members for reason for non-payment of dues: no action. Vern reported that the Newsletter is no
longer being issued, that the information contained in that is being included
in the current Website Updates, and that there are only 4 members who do not
have email and therefore do not receive the update. No action was taken regarding sending information to the 4
members who do not have email. The
Website Updates are now being issued every 2 weeks; previously they were issued
every week.

with the Commander of the unit and was informed that for security reasons no
tours are currently being conducted.
Larry
has done preliminary work for:
A
November 14th Fly-In to San Diego to tour the USS Midway Aircraft
Carrier & Museum. Due to weather
conditions, this has been cancelled twice in the past 2 years, and weather is
still a concern. A decision will be
made by end of week. Three pilots are
currently signed-up. An overnight stay
and a return trip in the evening are both being considered.
An
alternate to the San Diego trip, or for December, is a Fly-In to Sedona, taking

Additional
