B 24 Pilot Briefs Sun Lakes Aero Club

 

 

 

 

Tmp00001World War II pilot James Lorenx was a guest speaker at the Sun Lakes Aero Club (SLAC) meeting October 17 at  the Sun Lakes Country Club.

 

A native of Elkart Lake, Indiana, Lorenx described his military career that took him from enlistment in the Army Air Force in 1942 to his release from the army in 1945. Following his flight training in California and Texas, Lorenz was assigned to Attlebridge, England in 1944. He flew 35 successful missions totaling 245 combat hours bombing strategic targets in Germany.
