Aero Club members visit Chandler Airport tower


Five members of the Sun Lakes Aero Club (SLAC) participated in a field trip to the Chandler Municipal Airport.  After having breakfast at the Hangar Café, the group toured the airport tower, where they observed a crew of three air traffic controllers in action and viewed dozens of planes taking off and landing .  With nearly 160,000 operations per year, Chandler Municipal is among the nation’s busiest general aviation airports.   SLAC members attending were: (l-r) Bob Walch, Gary West, Dick Simmons, Jack Scheneman, and Gary Vacin.
