Member – A Jack Williams attended the January meeting of SLAC, paid his 2007
dues, and did not leave any information about himself. He is not listed in the local

18th Monthly Meeting:
Russell Pankey will be our featured speaker.
His topic is: "Grand Canyon National Park Airport -- Arizona's Best
Kept Secret." Russell served as airport manager at Grand Canyon for 10 years
before his retirement in 2003. He previously was Airport Manager at
Springfield, Ill. for three years and 10 years at Missoula, Mont. and worked
for Ozark Airlines in Iowa and Illinois for 16 years.

16th Monthly Meeting:
Lt. Col.
Edward Linch, F-16
pilot from Davis-Monthan AFB will talk on Mid-Air Collision Avoidance. He spoke to a group of us participating in a
Poker Run Saturday at Marana Airport and did an outstanding job. We were surprised and pleased at his
willingness to come to Sun Lakes and give a presentation to our club. Col. Linch is well-versed in the Luke AFB area, having flown F-16s
while on temporary training assignment there

This Fly-In was cancelled in May 2006 due to weather
conditions, and will be reviewed for a first Fly-In the Fall. This
destination
ranked 1st on the survey of
members.
