• Member Carl Delmar Spaeth passed away on May 15^th. His memorial services were held on May 28, 2007 in the Community Church in Sun Lakes, where Carl was a member of the congregation. His Sun Lakes Aero Club friends will miss him. Bio of Carl and Eulogy delivered by Al Galvi, founder of the Sun Lakes Aero Club.

Provost Gary Vacin presented a Gold Cross Pen

To Speaker Lt. Col. Ed Linch

The Speaker for the May 16^th meeting was Lt. Col. Ed Linch. He is an F-16 pilot from Davis-Monthan AFB and spoke on Mid-Air Collision Avoidance. Col. Linch is well versed in the Luke AFB area, having flown F-16’s while on temporary training assignment there. He gave an excellent presentation to our members.

USS Midway Aircraft Carrier & Museum – San Diego, California – Carrier Midway

This Fly-In was cancelled in May 2006 due to weather conditions, and will be reviewed for a first Fly-In the Fall. This destination
ranked 1^st on the survey of members.

The SLAC Board meets on Tuesday October 16, 2007 at the Sun Lakes Country Club in Phase 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the Card Room in the Recreation Center. You are cordially invited to attend these meetings.
